Job Summary

Johnston Meier Insurance Agencies Group has an exciting opportunity for ambitious and proactive Business Development Insurance Sales Agents at our Maple Ridge Office. Minimum General Insurance Level 1 license required, and previous sales experience an asset.

 Responsibilities

• Research, identify and pursue new business opportunities within small/medium-sized businesses
• Reach out to client leads through cold calling
• Create value and trust with prospects by identifying their insurance needs.
• Present, promote and generate sales of insurance products that meet the needs of prospective clients
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive client relationships
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients
• Build client portfolios

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Minimum General Insurance Level 1 Salesperson License
• Sales focused, self-motivated and proactive
• Self-starter with strong prospecting skills and comfortable with cold calling
• Ability to convert leads into sales
• Determined and eager to learn with a positive approach and openness to feedback
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service
• Flexible in job duties and/or hours, as necessary
• Basic computer skills
