The Opportunity:
We are seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant to join our downtown Vancouver office. While prior insurance experience is not necessary, candidate must either hold a level 1 insurance license or be prepared to obtain one within 6 months.
What You Will Do:
- Organizing and maintaining files and documents
- Preparing regularly scheduled reports, memo’s and spreadsheets
- Tracking expenditures and processing chargebacks
- Performing basic reconciliations
- Managing administration for on-line services (creating users, granting right, etc.)
- Handling online bill payments
- Providing reception coverage as needed
- Collaborating on special projects and completing assigned responsibilities
About You:
- Hold Level 1 insurance license or willing to obtain one within 6 months
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- 45 wpm typing speed with accuracy
- Proactive work ethic and attention to detail
- Works well under pressure and in dynamic environments
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Client-focused and team-player
- Previous office experience is considered an asset
