Holdco is a joint venture between Coastal Community Insurance Services and Interior Savings Insurance Services. Both organizations operate as separate legal entities, each maintaining their own local focus and branding. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Insurance Operations & Compliance to join our leadership team. This opportunity offers the ability to work remotely from anywhere in British Columbia. Preference for candidates based on Vancouver Island.
What’s the role?
As a Senior Manager, Insurance Operations & Compliance, you’ll excel as a knowledgeable leader equipped to support Holdco’s vision of operational and compliance excellence through strategic oversight and leadership. You’ll work closely with various key stakeholders, including Insurance Senior Management and Regional Managers, to ensure alignment with our strategic direction and standards.
Your duties will include:
Operations & Compliance
- Liaise with senior management to address audit gaps and ensure compliance.
- Provide leadership in operational, compliance, and strategic areas.
- Oversee regulation updates, compliance, and license renewals for insurance subsidiaries.
- Manage organizational policies to ensure regulatory compliance and updates.
- Is the Nominee for one or more of the subsidiaries of Holdco
Leadership
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Develop workforce strategies for performance management and talent retention.
- Align operational goals with corporate vision and communicate decisions to direct reports.
Administration and Reporting
- Direct compliance adherence among direct reports and managers.
- Report audit and compliance results to senior management and recommend solutions.
- Ensure agency compliance with regulatory requirements and provides ongoing reporting.
What are we looking for?
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related discipline.
- Eligible for Level 3 General Insurance License, with Canadian Accredited Insurance Brokers (CAIB) held for a minimum of five year or Chartered Professional Insurance (CIP) designation.
- 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:
- Solutions based leader with the ability to overcome obstacles and seek solutions for the end user.
- Superior knowledge of personal and business insurance, policies, practices, procedures, and general Agency operations with advanced knowledge of Holdco subsidiaries’ specific Policy and Procedures.
- Solid understanding of the competitive environment in the financial marketplace.
- Thorough understanding of credit union insurance operations, principles, and values.
- Solid understanding of Provincial Regulations governing the insurance and financial industry.
- Advanced technical knowledge of insurance systems including EPIC, EZ ITV, Applied Rater, and ICBC Software with a minimum of 10 years’ working experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Career Band Range (Annual Salary) - $92,700.00 to $137,579.00
The posted salary range is designed to reflect a broad career band, encompassing a variety of roles within our organization and serves as a general guideline. Your final compensation will be tailored to your unique skills, experience, and the responsibilities of the role.
