The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team full-time. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a diverse commercial portfolio, work closely with clients and insurers, and provide expert advice on risk management solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional with proven experience in commercial lines, strong technical knowledge, and a client-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare RFQs, proposals, and binders for new and renewal business
  • Analyze client coverage requirements, exposures, and loss history to recommend tailored risk management strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, business development managers, producers, and account managers
  • Provide accurate and timely client service, including policy inquiries, coverage explanations, and endorsements
  • Stay current on insurer products, underwriting appetites, and industry regulations
  • Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of marketing progress and placement updates
  • Continuously enhance your technical expertise through training and professional development
  • Represent AMC Insurance in the marketplace with professionalism and integrity

Qualifications

  • Level 2 BC General Insurance License (required)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial Insurance
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and commercial risk solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong client and insurer relationships
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and insurance management systems
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience

Preferred Assets:

  • Professional designations such as CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM
