What you'll do
Summary
You are responsible for the identification, development, acquisition and maintenance of partner relationships within TuGo’s various sales distribution channels, which includes (but is not limited to) P&C brokers, travel insurance specialists, MGAs/financial advisors, credit unions, auto clubs, online travel retailers, and travel agents within a designated region.?
This role is work from home based in either Interior, BC or Lower Mainland, BC.
Specifically you will:
- Develop and maintain a business plan ensuring its alignment with department and corporate business plans.
- Achieve?and exceed performance targets.
- Support and grow sales with existing partners.
- Build client relationships and source new business development/sales opportunities through prospecting and lead generation activities, industry/partner connections, etc.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients emphasizing the benefits and suitability of current products.
- Resolve issues and manage a region independently, with support from the VP Business Development
- On occasion, may assist with the development of new products to meet unique needs of key clients.
- Represent TuGo within the industry – including tradeshows, events, and other functions that will help increase the profile of TuGo externally.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the current market environment including knowledge of primary competitors and their products.
- Collaborate and communicate?effectively with?team members and all other teams.?

What you'll bring
- Degree or diploma in business or a related discipline
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience within the insurance or financial services industry, with a thorough understanding of insurance distribution in either the property & casualty or financial services markets (knowledge of the Canadian travel insurance industry/competitive marketplace is an asset)
- Results-oriented, innovative problem-solver
- Ability to resolve issues and manage a region independently, with support from the VP Business Development
- Strong negotiating and selling skills
- Very strong organizational and time management skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel approximately 25% of time
- Excellent written and verbal English skills. Ability to speak additional languages is an asset.
