Insurance Advisor, Personal Lines

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional client service while supporting sales, underwriting, and policy servicing activities within a fast-paced Client Service Centre environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, handling inbound and outbound inquiries, providing coverage recommendations, and writing new personal insurance policies including home, travel, and umbrella coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle inbound and outbound client calls through the Client Service Centre

  • Perform front-line underwriting in accordance with company guidelines

  • Assess client needs and provide appropriate insurance coverage recommendations

  • Proactively contact clients to obtain renewal information

  • Write new home, travel, and umbrella policies and cross-sell additional insurance products

  • Support clients with remarketing, new business, renewals, and policy endorsements

  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances as required

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records as changes occur

  • Deliver a high level of customer service while consistently meeting sales and performance targets

  • Provide support and guidance to the Personal Insurance Team, including branch locations

  • Respond to client inquiries by providing policy and coverage information in a clear and timely manner

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 2 General Insurance License or Level 1 General Insurance License with a commitment to obtain Level 2 within 6 months

  • Minimum 1 year of auto insurance experience

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience

The expected salary range for this position is $47,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
