Insurance Advisor, Auto Division

Position Summary:

The successful candidate is a self-starter, quick learner and an active team player.  We are looking for an individual who is friendly, comfortable with taking instruction from different individuals and enjoys working on a variety of tasks.  This is a full-time regular position in which the primary job responsibility is to work with Account Managers to assist with a high volume Commercial Auto Clients.

Responsibilities:

During Initial Training Period:

  • Assisting Account Managers with all aspects of servicing Commercial Auto ICBC accounts

  • Assist with maintenance of fleet accounts

  • Providing a high-level of service to both internal and external clients

 Once Ready to Service / Manage Accounts:

  • Provide highest level of service to Commercial Auto Insurance clients

  • Manage and maintain fleet accounts

  • Assist producer with all aspects of servicing commercial auto accounts

  • Contact clients for renewal information

  • Review and assist with composition of insurance coverage’s and extensions

  • Assess coverage’s and limits, recommendation of optional coverage

  • Provide policy and coverage information and interpretation to producers/clients upon request or inquiry

  • Update client information as changes occur

 Ongoing Team Responsibilities:

  • Participate in high volume workflow projects

  • Contact clients for incoming new business leads

  • Setting up new accounts

  • Face-to-face deliveries / road running may be required

  • Maintain & grow technical knowledge, check Extranet daily for changes  

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

  • Level 2 General Insurance License preferred or willing to obtain within six months

  • 3+ years Auto Insurance experience

    • ICBC mandatory

    • Experience with Garage, Fleet, Prorate preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange & Lincq experience is an asset

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Typing speed of at least 55 wpm

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
