Insurance Advisor (Pitt Meadows)

The Opportunity

As an Insurance Advisor you will assist our existing clients with their home, business, and auto insurance needs. Training is provided on analyzing information and providing advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote, sell, and service insurance products to meet client needs and business goals
  • Assist with walk-in ICBC clients with transactions and inquiries
  • Manage a book of business, ensuring timely renewals, endorsements, and cross-sales
  • Respond to client inquiries and phone calls professionally and promptly
  • Liaise with ICBC, insurers, and clients to process new business, renewals, and endorsements accurately
  • Identify cross-selling and coverage enhancement opportunities
  • Research and analyze data to recommend appropriate coverage and prepare documentation
  • Issue policies, certificates of insurance, binders, and other required documents via company portals
  • Maintain ICBC stock, client files, and administrative records
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail/courier and distribute company materials
  • Provide claims support and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction
  • Participate in team meetings and company initiatives
  • Provide back-up support for colleagues and other departments as required
  • Perform administrative tasks as required

About You

  • Level 1 insurance license required
  • Autoplan and Personal Lines experience preferred
  • Excellent command of English, verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, ICBC procedures, and brokerage software
  • Proficient in office software, portals, and communication tools
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skill
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving silks
  • Adaptable, team-player with a positive, professional attitude
  • Willing to work flexible shifts
