Sussex Insurance is looking to add two Commercial Insurance Agents to our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated commercial insurance professionals with approximately 2 to 5 years of experience who want to continue building their career with an established, respected, and growth-oriented brokerage. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience working with small to medium-sized commercial insurance policies and a strong desire to provide practical, responsive, and professional service to business clients. The successful candidates will assist with servicing, maintaining, and growing commercial insurance accounts while working closely with clients, underwriters, insurers, and internal team members.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
· Servicing small to medium-sized commercial insurance accounts
· Reviewing renewals, endorsements, certificates, and policy documentation
· Working with clients to understand their business insurance needs
· Communicating with insurers and underwriters
· Supporting new business and remarketing files
· Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
· Providing timely, professional, and client-focused service
· Working collaboratively with Sussex team members to support client retention and account growth
Qualifications
· Minimum Level 2 BC General Insurance Licence required
· Approximately 2 to 5 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
· Experience with small to medium-sized commercial insurance policies
· Strong communication, organization, and client service skills
· Ability to work professionally with clients, underwriters, insurers, and internal team members
· Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up skills
· Motivated, reliable, and interested in growing within a respected brokerage environment
