AMC Village Insurance in Burns Lake is hiring a full-time Insurance Advisor Trainee. You don't need insurance experience to apply. We'll train you on the job and support you through your Level 1 licence. If you already hold a Level 1 licence, you'll start higher in the pay range.
Our Burns Lake office is a small, close team that knows many of its clients by name. You'll help local families with their car, home and tenant insurance, and over time you'll become someone the community counts on.

Burns Lake is a friendly small town in the Lakes District, with lakes, trails and fishing close by and a short commute. If you hold a BC Level 1 licence and are moving here from elsewhere in BC, we'll cover your moving expenses.
What you'll do
- Learn ICBC Autoplan and help clients with renewals, plates, transfers and changes
- Answer client questions in person and by phone
- Prepare quotes for auto, home and tenant insurance as your training progresses
- Process transactions in ICBC PolicyCenter and our office systems
- Keep client records accurate and help the team run the office day to day
What you need
- A Level 1 BC General Insurance Licence, or willingness to earn it with our support
- Customer service, retail or office experience
- Good spoken and written English and a friendly, patient manner
- Careful with details and comfortable using a computer
- Able to work in person at our Burns Lake office
Nice to have
- Any ICBC Autoplan or insurance experience
- Interest in a long-term career and a future Level 2 licence
What we offer
- $45,000 to $60,000 per year plus commission, based on licence and experience
