AMC Insurance is hiring a full-time Commercial Insurance Advisor at our Surrey Head Office. You'll manage a book of commercial clients, from small businesses to larger accounts, and handle their renewals, changes and new coverage.
You'll work closely with our producers and with insurer underwriters. This role suits someone who knows commercial markets in BC and likes keeping complex files on track.
What you'll do
- Manage renewals, endorsements and day-to-day service for a portfolio of commercial clients
- Review exposures and loss history and recommend suitable coverage
- Prepare submissions and RFQs, and market accounts to insurers
- Prepare proposals, binders and policy documents
- Explain limits, exclusions and policy terms clearly to business owners
- Track renewal dates and keep clients and producers up to date
- Keep accurate records in our broker system
What you need
- Level 2 BC General Insurance Licence
- 3 years of commercial insurance experience
- Good knowledge of commercial products and how BC insurers underwrite them
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Organized, accurate and able to juggle several renewals at once
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and broker management systems
Nice to have
- CAIB, CIP, FCIP or CRM designation
- Applied Epic experience
- Experience supporting producers in a team-based account model

- $70,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience
