The Opportunity:

Senior Personal Lines Representive/Supervisor position requires an enthusiastic, confident, team-oriented leader. We are currently looking for an individual to fill a full-time (in-person or hybrid) working role. This is a varied role, which would see the successful candidate managing a VIP client book and overseeing supervision of our personal lines department processes for writing new business, remarketing, renewals, payments, and cancellations for all clients. Experience with marketing over multiple company portals is a requirement for this role. We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the insurance sector and the ability to maintain positive working relationships to join our North Vancouver office. We are looking for someone that lives on the North Shore or is located within reasonable commuting distance from our office at 1315 Marine Drive, North Vancouver BC

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Personal Lines Department, including development of procedures and processes.
  • Employ creative networking and sales strategies to generate leads that convert prospective clients into new clients
  • Present existing and prospective VIP customers with individualized policy options, quote calculations, and educational materials to meet their needs
  • Review insurance policies for accuracy, coverage, and limits in order to recommend modifications, as needed
  • Deliver a high level of customer service when resolving billing, policy change, coverage, and claims issues
  • Keep accurate personal information for all sales prospects and customers within insurance company databases

Education and Skills required:

  • ICBC Experience required
  • Level 2 BC General Insurance license required
  • Minimum of 5+ years or more Personal Lines Insurance experience
  • Strong product knowledge, and the ability to make sound Personal Lines Insurance decisions
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, superb time management and organizational skills, and strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Accountability, customer-centric thinking, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with and interpreting insurance policies
  • Detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Word.

Asset to Have:

  • Those pursuing or holding the CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM certifications.
