WHO YOU ARE

As a Team Lead at our Hastings retail location in Burnaby, you play a pivotal role in our insurance brokerage. You are a seasoned professional who excels in building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients. You possess the ability to convey complex information in a clear, understandable manner. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, empower our customers to make confident and informed decisions about their insurance needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 Insurance Broker license in British Columbia.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • At least 3 years in a Team Lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with EPIC Applied Systems is an asset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this key role, you will oversee the daily operations of our Hastings retail location, filling in for our full-time permanent office manager who is currently on leave. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision: Leading and guiding your team to success.
  • Batching/Inventory: Managing batching and inventory procedures efficiently.
  • Scheduling: Creating and maintaining the monthly staff schedule, running bi-monthly team meetings.
  • Office Management: Handling basic office management duties to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communication: Acting as a liaison with the Chief Personal Lines Officer.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Managing and servicing client files, ensuring exceptional customer experiences including new business and renewals for ICBC, optional auto insurance, travel insurance and all other Personal Lines insurance.

  • 5 days per week; Monday – Friday schedule; either 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm and 1 rotating Saturday every 3 weeks
