Relationship Call Centre Insurance Representative

Through strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated sales and service experience, this position works closely with the branches and other areas of the organization to respond to a wide variety of incoming telephone or alternate channel requests.  The Relationship Call Centre Insurance Representative provides information and solutions to meet client needs using efficient organization and time management skills. While processing client transactions, you provide seamless service and resolve issues and/or complaints with a timely resolution or escalate as required. You participate in marketing and other campaigns aimed at achieving targets in business retention and growth.

You understand and explain insurance products and services while making referrals as required. You adhere to safety, privacy and security policies and procedures to protect Interior Savings’ interests. Ongoing learning is required to excel in delivering client service across a variety of channels.

You would maintain personal lines business, pro-actively sells and services personal and Autoplan products.  Responsible to process client renewals, handles potential problem renewals, solicits, maintains, and follows up on expiring client policies for cross-selling and account development purposes, and informs clients of upgrades on products and services.  You would foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.  Actively solicits referrals to commercial lines representatives, wealth management specialists and credit union sales staff - cross sells all agency and credit union products to insurance clients. Referrals of more complex insurance requests to the RC Team Lead or designate.  Maintain established procedures with respect to confidentiality, negotiable items, cash transactions, equipment and surroundings to meet safety, legal, and procedural requirements.  Develop and maintain a strong image within the community and always maintains a professional standard of conduct while promoting a positive image of the Insurance Agency and its’ affiliates.  Other duties as assigned; assist other staff as required. 

What you bring:  

Education

  • Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 1 
  • Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 2 
  • Fundamentals of Insurance  
  • ICBC Autoplan Essentials  
  • Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 3  

   Experience

  • Good comprehension of all personal and Autoplan insurance products and services.
  • 2-4 years job related experience in an insurance agency selling personal lines.
  • Previous Call Centre experience an asset, but not required.

We are excited to explore this opportunity with an Experience Licensed Insurance Advisor living within the Kelowna or Kamloops regions. The salary range for this position is $51,097.28 to $60,678.02 and starting salary will be based on related education, licensing, training and experience. This position will work 35.5 hours per week.
