Insurance Advisor (Port Moody)

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have previous Autoplan and Personal Lines experience and an insurance level 1 license. In this full-time role, you will be a key member of our office team, building rapport with clients, and providing exceptional service. This position has great earning potential with a base rate of pay (varies depending on experience and license level) along with commissions! You will be based out of our Port Moody office, close to transit, shops, and restaurants. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Servicing on-going client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, and answer inquiries through various channels;
  • Assisting with walk-in Autoplan and Personal lines clientele;
  • Sell new policies/writing new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business in an effort to grow book of business;
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and renew renewals.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum Level 1 Insurance license
  • Must have personal lines and autoplan experience
  • Strong customer focus and administrative office skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS office products and strong computer skills
  • PowerBroker or TAM experience considered an asset
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
