As an Account Manager, a typical day might include:
- Collaboratively and regularly meeting with Account Executive(s) and the team to stay abreast of client account status
- Proactively obtains underwriting information from potential and renewal clients
- Creating and sending submissions to underwriters (where re-marketing is required)
- Liaising with clients on the status of requests for coverage or renewal
- Presenting quotes and/or renewals to clients, obtaining orders and binding coverage with underwriters
- Maintaining a technical and service-oriented relationship with the clients and underwriters
- Providing friendly, professional service to customers and Account Executives
- Handling routine customer and Account Executive inquiries/concerns in a timely manner and to an agreed upon Practice Group standard
- Proactively identifying coverage gaps and makes insurance and risk management recommendations
- Providing administrative support as required including, but not limited to, invoicing, Cover Notes, finance contracts, claims support, Accounts Receivable, etc.
- Managing daily administration of client accounts (correspondence; policy, contract, and lease agreement wording review; policy documentation issuance; account receivables lists)

Must haves:
- At least 5-8 years of Commercial Insurance experience
- General Agent Level II Insurance license through the Insurance Council of BC
- Insurance experience in CGL, property & equipment breakdown, SOVs, working with MGAs, submissions, marketing & proposals, claims
You want a leg up?
- CAIB or CIP insurance designation
- Experience using the Epic broker management system
- Insurance experience in D&O, cyber, and other specialty lines, rate sheets, including split rating, process of learning/understanding clients’ operations, pre-underwriting process for the practice group’s specialty industry/industries
