As an Analyst - Internal Control and Compliance, a typical day might include:
- Serves as back-up support to the Coordinator, Internal Control & Compliance:
- Assisting in providing licensing support for staff
- Assisting in overseeing transfer of staff and corporate insurance licenses for newly acquired companies
- Assisting in maintaining a complete record of staff licenses and levels, across all provinces
- Conducts Quality Assurance reviews, adhering to internal controls
- Conducts regular Certificate spot checks
- Monitors and keeps abreast of current legislation and regulations
- Serves as resource for staff and clients regarding current legislation and regulations, including tax related procedures

Must Haves:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience commercial insurance, consistently meeting internal core competencies
- General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia or equivalent license in the individual’s province of residence, with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license or Commitment to obtain Level I license within 6 months of hire
- Post Secondary Degree, considered an asset
- Experience using EPIC broker management system, considered an asset
- CAIB, CIP, CRM or other insurance designations, considered an asset
