Insurance Advisor — ICBC & Personal Lines
Full-Time | Burnaby, BC | Independent Brokerage
$45,000–$55,000 base + commissions + benefits
What This Role Actually Is
You'll be the person clients rely on for their auto insurance, home coverage questions, and the things that genuinely matter to them. This is hands-on, client-facing work at an independent brokerage — not a call centre, not a corporate department.
You'll work across multiple lines of business, grow your knowledge with real mentorship, and build a career.

It's a professional environment, but it's not corporate. You'll see every part of the business, and the experience you build here in two years would take five at a larger firm.
What You'll Do
- Handle full-cycle ICBC transactions: renewals, changes, new plates, registrations, and walk-in traffic
- Proactively connect with clients before renewals lapse — retention is a core part of the role
- Support clients through endorsements, cancellations, and claims navigation
- Identify coverage gaps and offer Travel and Replacement Cost policies where it makes sense
- Spot Home and Business insurance opportunities from ICBC conversations for our team to follow up on
- Follow structured workflows and checklists built to reduce errors and protect clients
What You Bring
- Level 1 General Insurance License (Level 2 is a plus)
- At least 6 months to 1 year of ICBC Autoplan experience
- Clear, professional communication — spoken and written
- Good follow-through and attention to detail
- A dependable, professional approach to your work
- Saturday availability
- Living in or near Burnaby is a bonus
Compensation & Growth
- Base salary: $45,000–$55,000 depending on experience
- Direct sales commission on Travel and Replacement Cost policies — tiered by performance
- Referral commission on Home, Condo, or Business leads you generate that our team closes
- 50/50 commission split on your own personal book of business
