We at Maxxam Insurance Nanaimo are looking for an Auto Insurance Agent that will assist our dealership road service team and our office team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, that can work within urgency whilst providing a high level of professional service toward our clientele, dealers, and colleagues. If you are a team player who is sales motivated that positively impacts those around you - we want to meet!

*Must be studing for or have fundamentals of insurance or CAIB 1*

What we're looking for in a candidate:

• 6+ months of previous insurance experience, but willing to train from the ground up for the right person.
• Motivated to achieve goals.
• Eager to hit sales targets.
• Experience in Customer Service.
• Well versed in computer programs / technology.
• Handling client retention with ease.
• Has strong communication skills.
• Flexible in job duties and/or hours as necessary
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clientele with their daily insurance needs via phone, phone and email, and in-person transactions.
• Provide insurance quotes and sell new policies to clientele.
• Swiftly manage walk-in traffic transactions and inquiries.
• Follow-up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge and systematic changes.
• Be proactive with individual filing tasks and organization.
• Provide timely renewal calls for existing customer business.
• Provide Dealership road service, after 6 months experience, if applicable
• You’ll promote optional coverage and cross sell, all while building relationships with clients, colleagues and our dealerships partners.
