CAIB Immersion Course

A CAIB Immersion Course is a five-day, instructor-led class held in downtown Vancouver. Classes run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Students are expected to read the entire textbook before the immersion course starts to be ready for in-class discussion.

Course Fee:

$599 for IBABC members
$799 for non-members

For the fee you get:

Intensive classroom instruction
The textbook (mailed to you before the course starts)
Supplementary course materials (resource guide and practice exam with marker's guide).

If you already have a current textbook and don't need to purchase a new one, we will deduct that cost from your CAIB Immersion Course fee.

We offer several CAIB Immersion Courses each year. There’s no CAIB 1 Immersion Course.

Exams for CAIB Immersion Students

You will write your exam online. As a CAIB Immersion student, you're strongly encouraged to write your exam early in the week after completing the five-day class. This is so the course content will still be fresh in your memory.

Immersion Course Registration

Registrations for immersion classes are on a first-come, first-served basis so register early to ensure your seat. The registration deadline for CAIB Immersion Classes is one week prior to the class start date.

To register, please download and complete the CAIB Registration Form and email it as an attachment (PDF file) to scoles@ibabc.org.

CAIB Immersion Courses are NOT held at our office on Granville Street in Vancouver. After you have registered and your payment is processed, you’ll receive an email with all the class details within 2 – 3 business days. If you don’t receive that email, contact scoles@ibabc.org.
